Your journey to Myoko

Whether you arrive by train, airport shuttle or car, there are several ways to reach Myoko. Here you’ll find the main travel options and information to help you plan the final part of your journey to Glomec Lodge or Glomec House.

Important: Glomec Lodge and Glomec House are at different locations. Please check the directions and pickup arrangements for your booked property before travelling.

Tokyo to Myoko via Nagano

For travel to Glomec Lodge, a straightforward route is to take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano, then a local train to Myoko-Kogen Station.

  1. Step 1: Travel from the airport to central Tokyo

From Narita or Haneda, take a rail connection into central Tokyo and continue to a station served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen.

Your best connection depends on your airport, arrival time and whether you are staying in Tokyo first. Airport transfers may involve a change of trains, so allow time for immigration, luggage collection and connections.

  2. Step 2: Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano

Choose a Hokuriku Shinkansen service that stops at Nagano. Reserving a seat is helpful during busy winter travel periods.

Check your ticket for the train, carriage and seat details, and follow the station departure boards to the correct platform.

If travelling with large bags or ski equipment, check the operator’s baggage rules before departure.

  3. Step 3: Continue to Myoko-Kogen Station

At Nagano, follow signs for the Shinano Railway Kita-Shinano Line and take a local train to Myoko-Kogen.

This local journey usually takes approximately 45 minutes. Check the current timetable and allow time to transfer between services.

The local railway is a separate operator from JR East. Check ticket and rail-pass coverage for each part of your journey.

  4. Step 4: Complete the journey to your property

Glomec Lodge guests can arrange station pickup after 2:00 pm on their check-in day. Please confirm this with us in advance.

If staying at Glomec House, contact us for the most suitable arrival station and final transfer arrangements.

Station check: Myoko-Kogen Station and Joetsumyoko Station are different stations. Please check the station name carefully when booking tickets or arranging pickup.
